| The 2021 Friends of the Poor Walk will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021. This is the date that is coordinated with the SVdP National Council. SVdP Chicago Council will be hosting a walk site in the Southwest Suburbs at Freedom Park located at 6252 W. Birmingham Ave in Chicago Ridge. The council walk site will be a Vincentian “friend-raiser” event and there will be no cost to attend. All registered walkers will receive a t-shirt. Walkers may arrive beginning at 9:30 am and the walk will begin at 10:00 am. A fellowship reception will take place following the walk with food and drinks being provided. The park has a pavilion area will be on-site with picnic tables/benches. Attendees may wish to bring a lawn chair as well. Portable bathrooms are available on site. This is a dog friendly event and if you bring Fido please keep him on lease at all times. Click here for more information and registration.
