SVdP National Disaster Services Appeal

Dear Vincentians and Friends,

As Vincentians and friends, we work together, doing God’s work, to help those in need.  Most of our works are focused on those in our community seeking immediate assistance with the necessities of food, clothing, and shelter.

As we watch from afar, the continuum of disasters occurring throughout the United States, it seems never ending. Although outside of our immediate communities, those are our brothers and sisters in need.  For that reason, we must come together and provide assistance.

Please consider providing support that will be part of the National Council relief efforts.  The National Office has received responses from over 600 Vincentians, Conference and Councils offering to participate in assisting the current disaster relief efforts.  We are one of the 600.  As we have experienced the support of many other Councils throughout the years, it is time for us to give back and broaden our border of assistance.

I ask that your District or Conference offer a donation.  The Central Office will combine all donations received and send one check to the National Office as contribution towards the current Disaster Relief efforts.

Checks should be made payable to:  SVdP Chicago Council and mailed to 12731 S. Wood Street, Blue Island IL 60406.  Please indicate on memo line National Disaster Appeal.

I appreciate your consideration in participating in this urgent appeal.  Together we make a difference.  As Vincentians, we are sometimes reminded that those in need although far away are still in reach of receiving our assistance.

God Bless!

Harry Ohde, Volunteer President/CEO
