#GivingTuesday is Fast Approaching!

We are about two weeks from #Giving Tuesday on November 30, 2021. Join us and help us spread the word for 24 hours of nonprofit fundraising for the charity we all know and love, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Chicago.

The Vincentian community has been instrumental in participating in this yearly event and we hope we can count on you and your friends and families to support us again in 2021. Our goal this year is $30,000.

We are hoping to have everyone help by sharing our mission. Check your email in the coming weeks on how you can help spread the word. If you are on facebook, please make sure you are following us at www.facebook.com/svdpchicago.org for the latest details.

If you would like to be an Ambassador and help with our social media campaign and need more information, please email Teresa Stack or call 773-779-6700 x108. It’s simple and only takes a couple of clicks of the mouse!

SVdP Annual Memorial and Awards Mass – Sunday, Nov 21 at 3pm

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Chicago

Annual Memorial and Awards Mass

Sunday, November 21, 2021

3:00pm

Please join us for a very special Annual Memorial and Awards Mass this Sunday, November 21st, 2021.

This yearโ€™s mass is being held at St. Mary Magdalene, 2339 York Street in Blue Island, IL. Mass will start at 3:00pm. For those of you who cannot attend in person, or prefer to celebrate from home with family and friends, the mass will be live stream on Facebook on the following link:

https://www.facebook.com/St-Mary-Magdalene-Parish-100524479068010/

We are honored to have Monsignor Lyle and Fr. Kelly preside over mass. Praying for our brothers and sisters in need together as a Vincentian community brings us closer in fellowship and strengthens our spirituality in serving God. During our Vincentian Commitment ceremony, we will welcome in our new board members and honor those that have served as Vincentian leaders during this past term who are stepping down to serve in other capacities.

Our Awards ceremony will honor those Vincentians or Groups who have supported the Society in serving the poor and have been nominated by their peers. Categories of awards and recognition are Top Hat, Ozanam, Youth, and Servant Leader Awards. Recognizing of the tireless efforts brought forth by these individuals adds to the story of how our works as Vincentians change the lives of those in need.

During Mass, we will be remembering those that have journeyed home to our Lord. With sorrowful hearts, we will recognize those individuals that have passed before us. Together in prayer we find comfort in knowing they have gone home to our Lord and are at peace.

God Bless,

Harry Ohde
