Join Us in Serving with Love, Compassion, and Hope

At the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Chicago, our mission goes beyond providing material assistance—we are committed to transforming lives and offering hope to those in need. With hearts full of love and compassion, our incredible Vincentian volunteers dedicate themselves to serving individuals and families facing poverty and hunger, regardless of race, religion, political affiliation, or gender. Everyone is welcome at our table of support, and every act of kindness helps to uplift our Chicago area communities.

Our work spans Cook and Lake Counties, where we fight tirelessly against poverty, hunger, and hardship, connecting with the most vulnerable members of society. The devotion of our Vincentians—volunteers who offer their time, energy, and empathy—is what drives our mission forward. These selfless individuals are the heart and soul of SVdP Chicago, ADC, and we are incredibly grateful for their unwavering commitment to service.

Our work would not be possible without the steadfast support of the Archdiocese of Chicago. We extend our deepest thanks to Cardinal Blase J. Cupich and Vicar General, Most Rev. Robert G. Casey, whose ongoing encouragement strengthens our mission to serve. Their leadership, along with the dedication of our Vincentians throughout the Archdiocese, empowers us to continue making a meaningful impact.

At SVdP Chicago, we believe that together we can make a difference. By joining hands, we can combat poverty, restore dignity, and bring light to those who are struggling. Whether through donations, volunteer work, or community partnerships, every contribution helps fuel our efforts to create a more just and compassionate world. Help us make a lasting change. Become part of our mission today and bring hope to those who need it most! Interested in learning more or joining a Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference near you? Masks Required at SVdP Libertyville & Orland Park Thrift Stores

Following guidance from the CDC, Cook County Dept. of Health, and IL Dept. of Health we ask that all individuals, fully vaccinated or not, wear face masks when shopping at our thrift stores or making a donation. Both Lake and Cook Counties are currently experiencing “substantial” transmission of coronavirus. That means that the CDC has recommended that all residents, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks. Thank you for your understanding and your kindness to our hard-working staff as we continue to serve our customers and neighbors in need.
